Replacing wooden roller shutters

My parents would like to better protect their old wooden windows from the sun without ruining the traditional look of the house. We're looking for a company that can handle historic facades with care. Has anyone had good experiences with them?

My parents live in an older house with beautiful wooden windows and a very traditional façade.
