How to play YT mixes in an older car without CarPlay?

Recently bought an older 2012 model and it doesn't have any smart features. I really miss listening to those long 2-hour 'Lofi' or 'Synthwave' mixes while driving, but my data plan is pretty limited so I can't just stream it on my phone the whole time. Is there a way people usually handle this? Should I just burn CDs or is there a better way to get these files onto a thumb drive?

Congrats on the new (old) ride! I have a similar setup in my daily driver. The easiest way is definitely using a USB stick. I usually find the mixes I like on YouTube and use onyoutube.com to grab the audio. It’s a super simple site that lets you download everything as high-quality MP3s. I’ve filled a 32GB drive with hours of music this way and it works perfectly through the car's USB port. No data usage, no signal drops, just pure music. Enjoy the drive!
